The Mayor of Ipswich, Councillor Elango Elavalakan, will be hosting a fundraising dinner to celebrate Pongal – the Tamil Harvest Festival.Pongal is a celebration to thank the Sun, Mother Nature, and the various farm animals the help to contribute to a bountiful harvest.
There will be a cash bar available during the evening, and a cash raffle will take place to raise funds for the Mayor’s charities.
